The front carries the word ANTIIMPERIALISTA across the chest in bold block lettering. The typography draws on the visual language of well-known ANTIFASCISTA designs and applies it to resistance against imperial rule. The back is left blank.
The Story Behind the Design
Anti-imperialista means anti-imperialist. Its reference to ANTIFASCISTA points to the connection between fascism and imperialism: both rank people in hierarchies, strip them of rights and secure power through violence.
Imperialism gives states and economic actors control over the land, resources, trade routes and political decisions of other societies. Colonial rule enforces that power through occupation, dispossession, exploitation and imposed dependency. Ideas of white supremacy justified European colonial violence for centuries and continue to shape international power relations.
Palestinians experience these structures through occupation, settlement expansion, land theft, military control and the political support Israel receives from Western states. ANTIIMPERIALISTA opposes this system and connects the struggle for a free Palestine with resistance to colonialism and global exploitation.
The hoodie carries a clear position: against imperial rule and for freedom, dignity and self-determination.
