The large front design features the shortened statement FCK ZNSM with PALESTINE HABIBI beneath it. Red and green bars echo the colours of the Palestinian flag and deliberately recall the visual language of the well-known FCK NZS motif. A clear anti-fascist symbol becomes an equally clear rejection of Zionism, occupation, apartheid and the destruction of Palestinian life.
The Story Behind the Design
The design draws on the well-known FCK NZS motif and applies its anti-fascist message to another political ideology: Zionism.
National Socialism and Zionism are historically distinct ideologies. The design points to a central similarity that we oppose: the belief that one population should have greater rights to land, freedom and safety than another because of origin or identity. Such ideas of superiority dehumanise people, justify the denial of their rights and can lead to displacement, systematic violence and genocide.
The red and green bars echo the colours of the Palestinian flag. Beneath FCK ZNSM appears PALESTINE HABIBI—a clear position against occupation, apartheid and the destruction of Palestinian life.
The description of Zionism as a racist political ideology has a long international history. In 1975, UN General Assembly Resolution 3379 determined that Zionism was a form of racism and racial discrimination; that determination was revoked in 1991 by Resolution 46/86. After extensive investigations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch later concluded that Israeli rule over Palestinians constitutes a system of apartheid or racial domination and persecution. Their reports examine specific state laws, structures and practices.
In 2026, the debate gained new institutional significance in the United Kingdom. In University of Bristol v Miller, the Employment Appeal Tribunal confirmed that an anti-Zionist belief describing political Zionism as racist, imperialist and colonial can qualify as a protected philosophical belief under the Equality Act. The ruling did not itself establish Zionism as a proven form of racism; it protected the right to hold and express that political analysis. In October 2026, the Green Party of England and Wales also adopted a party policy treating Zionism as a form of racism.
Zionism is a political ideology; Judaism is a religion, a culture and a diverse identity. Criticism of Zionism is not directed at Jewish people and must never be used as a pretext for antisemitism. The design opposes a political order that subordinates Palestinian land, freedom and equal rights to ethno-national supremacy.
