The front displays ANTISEMITISM and ANTIZIONISM in a clear stacked layout. A red cross rejects antisemitism, while a green check affirms antizionism; a heart below connects the statement with Palestine Habibi. The back is left blank.
The Story Behind the Design
Antisemitism targets Jewish people for being Jewish. It takes the form of degradation, exclusion, conspiracy myths and violence. The red bar in the design expresses a clear rejection of hatred against Jewish people.
Zionism emerged in the late nineteenth century as a political and nationalist movement. Judaism encompasses many religious, cultural and political identities and cannot be assigned to a single ideology. Treating all Jewish people as representatives of Zionism or of the policies of the State of Israel holds them collectively responsible for state actions and reproduces antisemitic assumptions.
For Palestinians, the Zionist project is tied to the Nakba, the loss of land and homes, military occupation, settlement expansion and a system of unequal rights. The green check therefore stands for resistance to this political system of domination and for Palestinian freedom, return, self-determination and equal rights.
The design brings together two clear positions: protecting Jewish life from antisemitism and resisting the oppression of Palestinians. Against antisemitism. Against Zionism. For a free Palestine.
